My thoughts on seal are Why reinvent the wheel over and over again?

Use Allegro for gfx, WattSock32 for networking, pThreads for multitasking/threading.

I would use PE files for seal there are ...

What about just using a pThreads lib for dos to implement the multitasking? I have seen 3 on the djgpp site

i have the computer open for 3 years now... i haven't such problems

I cant leave computers open here, Forced Air Heating and we have 2 active mills, cd/dvd drives die here all the time

heres an idea... why dont we use some drivers native to win31... I mean, it will be easy to make seal a complete enviroment, and have it use dos as a launch, not as support...

I have an idea for Seal 3, Why not port the gtk toolkit + mono + watt-tcp32, It would be cool to be able to run .NET stuff under dos, Gekko is easy to get working on Gtk (see Galeon).
