gui or desktop environment. whatever. Qt is written in C++ and it does pretty much exactly the things we want seal to do. except we need to deal with task-handling and such too.

i might consider it if you use the Seal3 technology previews that ganesh did this summer. they were really good, and I know them pretty well.

i had problems with the mingw-version too. but it worked when I changed the color depth of Windows to 24bit (seal's should still be 16bit). tell me if it works for you.

"edit it to work with seal" doesn't mean just change some small things here and there. to do that you almost have to rewrite the whole thing. it's not easy, trust me!

that's pretty cool. too bad it doesn't have anything to do with FreeDOS. they just picked the first free OS they found that fitted on a floppy.

What I think is inefficient is 8 reads to the registry to the regions. I intend to replace the mode into


a= val1 val2 val3 val4
b= val1 val2 val3 val4
