Hi there,

I want to use Seal under DOS 6.0, but i get always an exception, i think it's from the dpmi-server (not sure), which sounds like this:

Page fault at eip=0125d22, error=0006

Maybe someone can help me,

greetings Timo!

What version of SEAL do you have - 2.00.11? Also, do you have any other memory managers loaded, other than HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE, if they are loaded? If not, can you tell me all the text that appears on the screen?

No, there aren't any other Memory-Managers. I
noticed, that the same error occures also with other gui's for dos like QubeDOS.

Error:

At first the content of all the cpu-registers are listed and i noticed that:

es: sel=00c7 invalid

This error doesn't occure at console-applications for example "nasm".

Maybe this can help!?!?!

obviously this happens because you NEED a memory manager. And especially the HIMEM.SYS one (except if CWSDPMI has it's own, but this doesn't happen regularly, so i think that this is the reason).

Another reason is that you're using a 386 without a math coprocessor or a 8bit graphics mode with a graphics card that sux.

Post your config.sys and autoexec.bat files here...I have had Seal running on alot of different DOS flavors.... Usually it requires some tweaking.

i think the ega-driver must be loaded for the norton commander. without this line norton brings an error-message.
