Ok, heres the the waste basket again. Still a few problems - decompression sometimes doesnt work, it doesnt decompress to its origanal location and this version only works with a modified version of Disk Commander.

I was messing about with skins when i took the screen shot and i forgot to change it back so sorry if you cant see the buttons properly.

nice, is that skinning on the wastebasket only? any chance you could transfer your skills to proper skinning support for Seal2, i hope things go well with the app's development would be cool if u manage to finish it for the next release.

Very good work. I'm also interested in this skinning code, how did you do it?

Once I get the new web site completed, there will be another SEAL release soon afterwards.

EDIT: I've just been talking to Darragh, and it turns out there is already window skinning code in app.c, which I must have missed. More info when I figure it out...

Yes what you can see there is already in app.c - all images, backgrounds, etc. could easily be put into skin files as this is the way i did it when i was working on sprint (my gui).

Heres a screenshot of sprint as an example

Owen , Ill explain the code in app.c if you want .

After a lot of testing and file loss ive figured out that callums code for compression does not work. Decompression makes the file a lot bigger than it originaly was and it makes it unreadable.
If anyone knows of any other compression code please let me know as soon as you can.

Biggyp= ive no plans to release the code but i will help with seal skinning.

Darragh: You may want to use zlib. SEAL itself uses it for the compression of XDL files.

I still have the working examples - they dont work! You sent me one with this in it :
in = fopen("c:\command.com", "rb");
out = fopen("c:\command.co$", "wb");
compress(in, out);

in = fopen("c:\command.co$", "rb");
out = fopen("c:\newcomm.com", "wb");
decompress(in, out);

When I run this newcomm it tells me it is not a valid MS-DOS program file. The same thing happens with all files.

Well, if this is going to be included in SEAL, the code will have to be released, obviously.
