I'm sorry, maybe I'm too dumb but I didn't understand why It just can't run under DOS.
BTW, 2.79 is not working, registry.dat doesn't point to the files the command box prints it can't find, and aborts immediatly.

it can but needs compiling for that target platform which no-one has done yet for that version.

another thing that needs sorting is the spelling mistakes that julien made in SEAL2 are still prevelent in SEAL3 it's spelt gradient not gardient.

Key system.sursors.drag not found returning default

Oh! I see. I would like to do that myself but I just couldn't find a suitable compiler. I'm not using linux (at least I won't be returning to it 4 a while), do you know a compiler for DOS or Win?

The code base at current uses _no_ ode from SEAL 2.0, except for SFA. The major part of t_list_* has been rewritten to support chain lists. So no mistakes are carried over.

If it does work, its a bug. registry.dat files point to the VFS, so that wouldnt make any sense outside. Could you post a log, the codebase right now prints everything to a debug file, so its easy to point out where it went wrong.

You figured it out.

But, why should it abort ??

Supported and tested by me :
WIN : MSVC, MINGW
LINUX : GCC
FREEBSD : GCC

Lukas and FK have it working on DOS with DJGPP. It compiles out of the box. Run dj.bat

The binary was made with mingw.

Thanks a lot for the binaries, FK!
I don't know, I found the window a bit strange. The background was resizable, but the content wasn't.
The taskbar size is better than those in seal2, I think. Nicer!

I was thinking... could this version support shortcut icons on the desktop?

BTW, the "plain DOS" version doesn't abort. Maybe mingw's thing!?

I think this is cool

And I am very sorry for my abcense the last weeks, but I have been away. And right now I am in the middle of moving out of my parents house into my very own student room... So I don't have much time right now, partly due to moving and partly to other reasons in my private life... I hope to become some help for Seal 3 sometime in september (if not earlier)...

axis: if you want icons in seal right now, get the 2.0.11 version of Seal and download and install the desktop replacement called "The Desktop" the link is down in my sig.
