Download CWSDPMI from ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2misc/csdpmi5b.zip and extract it to the same directory as the setup program.

Wouldn't it be wonerful if we had a graphical installer? I think that would rock... But it's not the highest priority right now...

Graphical? Ok....

Do you want it to look like one of the Windows installers, Mandrake Linux, or Just be graphical?

I finally did some good windowing/graphical environment functions and I've been waiting for a project like this to use them in.

I'll base the Packages on LHA, since it is Public domain, and I might be able to integrate the sources directly into the installer.

Wait about a week or two, I should be done with it by then.

And just to piss the Qube people off, I will also integrate some Simple SoundBlaster support into the installer....to make music while loading and beep after installing a package.

I already have an amendment to the plan. I will be using a custom format for the packages. Like LHA, it uses the Huffman compression routines, but it will be different header format. This allows for a more flexible and compact program to be produced.

I went ahead and downloaded CWSDPMI from ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2misc/csdpmi5b.zip and extracted it to the same directory as the install program. For some reason it still gave me the same error message.

Just a few tidbits of information.

1. Do you run QEMM or something similar?
2. What version of DOS are you using?
3. Try running cwsdpmi then running the installer....if you still get an error, we can delve further in to the problem.

SEAL 2.00.11 doesn't need CWSDPMI for anything except REGEDIT.EXE - SEAL.EXE has it's own built-in version, as does INSTALL.EXE. If there is ever SEAL 2.00.12, it would be easy to make REGEDIT use a built-in version. SEAL 2.0 Lambda, on the other hand, uses a built-in CWSDPMI for SEAL.EXE, but nothing else, so you need it to run the installer.
