At startup I get an error message: "The following file is missing or corrupted: SEAL.EXE."

I have a Dell Pentium III XPS T-600 with Windows 98 and all the applications factory-installed. Aside from the error message the computer seems to run fine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is always the possibility that the download might have been corrupt.

Please try to download again and post your results.

Amos--

Thanks for the response.

I downloaded the latest available (Source, not Binaries) version to my C-drive, but when I tried to run the downloaded SEAL.EXE (to install it) I got the message "not a valid WIN32 application." As you can probably surmise, I don't really have a clue about how to install the file. (I used the UNC mirror, whatever that is.)
Any suggestions, on a really elementary level, would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Harold

I have had the same odd problem with seal. Since you want it on an elementary level, open notepad, type in seal. Save it as seal.bat in the place you installed seal. (Make sure you saved it as All Files). Then instead of running seal, double click on seal.bat .

I hope this helps you!

That sounds like something I can handle and should do the trick.

Thanks for the response.
