have to keep in mind that the best thing about seal right now, is the fact that it needs no drivers beside mouse.. so unless we want to make this run more like a operating system, we should work on interfacing dos/windows drivers, remember, most of the developers and stuff working on seal have windows (or like me xp, so I have no real DOS on my system).. so you see the issues with making drivers for seal itself..

I think that writing our own Seal drivers for networkcards is pure stupidity... since there so many drivers out there for DOS...

Using wattcp32 and crynwyrs package drivers the way to go, I think.

Same here. Writing our own drivers would not only be a total waste of time at this point, it probably would not happen anyway. We just don't have the manpower at this point to write enough drivers to cover even a small percentage of the available hardware. Besides that, the available packet drivers and the Watt-32 libraries work pretty well together, so why reinvent the wheel? Now, the trick is getting those things effectively implemented. Does anybody here have much experience writing apps with the Watt-32 libraries?

I downloaded and installed wattcp32 and compiled the stuff... the problem is that I can't figure out the right settings for the wattcp.cfg file, which is very strange since I can use arachne which also uses wattcp, though not the same cfg file... I've tried to make wattcp.cfg have the same settings, but something must be wrong, and i don't know what.... Since I have the packet driver installed on 0x60 as it's supposed to...

Anyway, I can't run Seal either... I've installed it under vmware, and it crashed during boot up because it can't find the mouse... microsofts mouse driver doesn't work with SEAL and cutemouse makes vmware hang...

Anyway, I was about to do some programming and trying out, but got stopped by this... very irritating.. I would've like to bring networking to Seal...

If anyone have any pointer on my problem I would be very grateful..
