It would be interesting to get Seal running on a new allegro and gcc version, and if it is easy enough to get it to work under linux I might be able to help out, sometime in the future, maybe.

I had a very brief shot at compiling SEAL under Linux, but strangely enough, with little success. The DLX stuff seems to rely fairly heavily on some of DJGPP's DPMI stuff and other hacks, which probably could be rewritten, but I don't have the time or inclination to do it. Other stuff should be generally portable with a bit of tweaking here and there.

As for what's changed between 2.0.11 and 2.0.12, this is what's in the changelog:

Quote:

SEAL 2.00.12
------------

Released: / /2002

- Window 'widgets' now skinned

- 'version' section of info structure in XDL file now replaced with 'major', 'minor', 'revision'
and 'build' items (each a byte, as opposed to 'version' which was a long)

- New SRS (SEAL Resource Script) file supported in DLXGEN, for above

But other things have been changed, not entirely sure what though.

I'm not sure what's changed either, since it was so long ago.

But changing from dlx was in the todo list anyway

been following seal for years. noticed some new talk of a seal update release. i'm going to recycle one of my old 500mhz servers and see what i can do with seal. if this old project were revitalized it might be of interrest to my pbwc-os project.

any suggestions would be appriciated.

thx

Hey guys!

Maybe you could have a look at oZone (http://ozonegui.net), its quite usable at the moment. The downside is that neither me nor Julien is working on it anymore.

All the best in the future!

Hi Lukas, nice to see you again.

I've been playing around with and watching ozone for a while, it looks quite good. Are there plans to develop it further?
