I'd like to see some up to date documentation, I'd be interested in spearheading this myself (could use some help though) but I can't do much until I get out of school for summer (second week of June IIRC) and I downloaded the seal source but am not yet able to make any sense of it because I'm still a noob at C++ and haven't even looked at C yet.

Anyway let me know what you think, I'll be back (probably in 2 or 3 day's) to check for replies.

Not as many votes as I was expecting, I'll give it a try anyway but there are no guarantees and it will probably be a while before I have any work to show.

If anyone is interested in lending a hand I can be reached at ntws01 at yahoo dot com

Ok, its been a while since I downloaded the Seal source and tried to understand enough of it to start working on documentation. Anyway like I said there was no guarantee that I would get anything done and such is the case, I looked at the source files but didn't have much of an idea where to start and since then I've been looking through them durring spare time trying to figure out how they work although it hasn't been easy especially with the (hopefully temporary) increase in homework these past two weeks.

I still can't make any guarantees but I might try again sometime if I have an extended holiday or possibly during summer vacations. I think in the mean time I might try to read some of the old seal documentation so I have a better idea of what exactly I'm working with.

There isn't any sense on writing documentation for the current source code of SEAL, since it will be rewritten. You can look at the source code of The Force (where XSeal will be based - http://theforcegui.sf.net/ ) but do it only to get an idea on how XSeal will be organized, since the API will change a bit to meet the needs of a preemptive multitasking system (and some legal issues).

The docs will be automatically generated of the code using the -now- classic method of putting the docs inside the sourcecode (for the API). Of course this can only be used for Reference-style docs, so other stuff like an introduction in programming XSeal will be needed.

However, just wait for the first version XSeal...
