I did not see any screenshots. However, I did hear a lot about it back in early 2001, and was anticipating the release eagerly, but, due to a virus, I believe, the code was lost. I was just talking to Callum about this earlier, and some of his friends who were working with him might have copies of the code.

*cough* cygwin *cough*. Too bad a port of that wouldn't work, then we could install that, then use wine from there.

Wine would be very hard to port to Seal (lots of unix/X11 crap everywhere)
Twin would be easy, It's on the mac as well as unix/X11
other benifits of Twin are that it can load and use windows printer drivers, It might be possible to use the printer drivers from seal.

If I had a f*** dollar for everytime you guys have lost something due to a virus i'd be richer than bill gates. The wine thing is a fake. IE5 didn't run on WINE for Linux at that time. Wine is still crap. It doesn't do things stabaly on the platform it was designed for, and I dought it would run better on DOS/SEAL. Sorry Callum, but simple cut-paste is to easy, we need code, not images.

I think this topic needs to end. Whether it was real or not, it doesn't exist right now so the point is moot.

you want a "screenshot" of a Windows program running under Seal...here we go

c:seal>sol.exe
This program requires Windows to run.

C:seal>

There....happy? End of discussion. This topic is/was getting way out of hand...now lets get on with something more productive.

Actually, it'd be:

"This program requires Microsoft Windows."

for 16-bit versions (basically every version except NT/2000/XP), or:

"This program cannot be run in DOS mode."

for NT/2000/XP.

But anyway, yes, let's not have any more arguments about this. I don't know if this forum supports locked topics, and I can't be bothered to struggle through a MySQL session or upload of phpmyadmin to find out...

He is reading the RFCs and implimenting the functinality that way. These are public documents that have information about certain standards.

We can do it, but there aren't very many people in the Seal community patient enough to do it.
