As we speak, I am setting up some new forums, based on phpBB. This offers a number of improved features, including advanced moderation. Oh, and Quber, watch out, because if you keep annoying us all, I can ban your IP address.

I have no idea - I don't know his IP now, but phpBB logs IPs and hostnames, and it would be possible to ban his IP, or even a range of IPs if I really felt the need.

Alternatively, we could ignore you.

I think there should be a seperate forum for developers. This would require a password login only. That way we wouldn't have to ignore people like Quber who don't do crap, complain, and for some reason keep comming back.

That's possible, but I don't really want that sort of thing. (People who have been here a while might remember what happened when there was a forum on ezboard for coordinators only...). SEAL development should be open, for all.

I think we should have a system where you MUST show a valid e-mail address to signup, and for this e-mail address to be shown to admin, ( and others of wanted ).

Similar to Ikonboard.

i dont see a problem with the ocasional troll popping in from time to time, the optional membership thing is fine as far as i can see, and checking for a valid email address, doesn't work, hotmail anyone

With phpBB, if you aren't registered, you appear as "Anonymous". Also, all the forums are open to anonymous users, except Annoucements, which I decided to put for registered users only.
