Hi!

What is with the SEAL-Homepage (sealsystem.sourceforge.net)? It seams, that its very old.
If I click on "Get SEAL", there comes links to Tuxfamily.org, where SEAL isn't.
But with help of Google I have find http://sealsystem.sourceforge.net/files/
But there is only for seal2-user-kappa.zip the Source-Version called seal2-dev-02-11-2001-kappa.zip. And where is the Sourcecode of seal2-user-lambda.zip?

Another point is, that I can't understand why in the Kappa-Version a Snake-Game is, which in the Lamda-Version runs too, but it isn't integratet there.
Existing more Software for SEAL-Lamda which isn't integrated in the package?

And do you know, if there comes a new Version in the future?
It looks like, that between the different versions of SEAL2, there only some days are:
Alpha: 8. 9.'01
Beta : 12. 9.'01
Gamma: 19. 9.'01
Delta: 23. 9.'01
Epsilon: 27. 9.'01
Zeta: 3.10.'01
Eta: 6.10.'01
Theta: 11.10.'01
Kappa: 2.11.'01
Lambda: ca. 1.12.'01

And now we have the 1.4.'02 !
There are four (!) month without a new version of SEAL2. Is the SEAL-project dead or do you working on SEAL3 ?

Seal has been going through some reorganizing. Things are being worked on, but since Seal is a "free time" project, there can be no gurantee that releases will be made regularly.

They will be made when they are ready to be made.

Keep an eye out for updates, as they will be here first!

(and even though it is 01 April, this is NOT an April Fiil's joke)

I am currently working on the new web site. Also, the next version of SEAL, 2.00.11, will be out sometime soon. Some of the new features so far:

- Directory structure reorganised
- Makefile builds everything
- New version of SFA
- WAV driver for SFA
- Checkboxes now skinned, as well as windows and buttons (more controls will be supported soon)
- Allegro 4.0.1 now used
- Everything updated and improved a bit
- Friendly title read from .ln files and displayed in Programs menu instead of filename minus extension
- New startup logo, by Phil
- seal2_app_about function - common About dialog
- Klondike now included, plus updated CARDS.XDL (datafile appended to XDL, instead of being seperate)
- Snake added to Games menu (needs to be finished though)
- Plus other things

There, how's that?

BTW, when full skinning is supported (all controls, etc), I may write a program that converts WindowBlinds (www.windowblinds.com, IIRC) skins to SEAL skins.

Oh, and that reminds me, I must download the source code to the updated games by Tobias...

Finally, if you release a new SEAL application from now on, add the following line to the .ln file (if you create one):

title="Your App Name"

SEAL 2.00.11 will then display that as the title of your Programs menu item.

Idea: Use a short, non-offensive nickname. That one really messed up the front page when it was the last post...
