i never said it was a DOS batch file, it was a windows NT batch file

you can use goto and labels within windows batch files as well, if you were to execute a batch like that on win9x the machine could die rather rapidly, winNT doesn't enjoy it much either.

The point is not that you can or can't use the labels.... it's that the goto will never be reached since the batch file calls itself. It's recursive, and once another batch file is called and completes control is not passed back to the calling batch file....

Anyway, I'm not trying to flame you or anything....its just good for a snicker.

but using start once the program is started the batch file continues, it's start not call that i'm using here, so every new instance spawns another and then begins again to spawn more as do all the new instances.

try the batch file, watch the behaviour, it's obvious what happens.

You should make it support standard VGA 640x480 16-color mode.
