You should make it support standard VGA 640x480 16-color mode.

This is a plan, but as Phil says, nothing is happening with Seal right now. If and when development restarts, this is something that we are planning on implementing.

I think a web browser would be the biggest selling point you could hope for. I know that's a whole project in it's own right, but a web browser could make seal a real alternative to windows.

And I like alternatives to Windows!

I must say that I love seal's "xwindow" look! Very nice! Reminds me of IceWM. I still prefer IceWM to KDE or Gnome.

i think a fully working GUI and well thought out API would be a great selling point for SEAL3, far more importantly than a "web browser", of course, a PPP dialer, TCP/IP stack, some socket code, etc. would be rather nice too!

i'm sure you do.

i have never noticed it's "xwindow look", nor have i any idea what you're talking about when you say that, SEAL2 has any look you care to skin it with, an X11 look makes me think either motif, or just plain x apps, and seal doesn't look like either without skinning. i can't stand IceWM, iceWM is just for those who can't grasp the idea of moving away from the style of windows, why not try Blackbox or GNOME(with any WM you like), i personally prefer the console, you know, without the whole pointy clicky thing. no, not an xterm, the console, oh, your linux boots you straight up into X does it, oh well.
