Try pushing the colour depth of the image up to 24-bit, instead of 8-bit, which I assume it currently is.

I faced this problem too. The pink parts in the skin in preview3 shows through in 24bit. It works fine in 16bit.

And the bitmaps get screwed when i try of load a font from pcx. It agains works fine with TTF.

Whats the problem ??

I'm not sure. As I've said, I haven't been able to look at your previews in much detail, but what colour depth is your bitmap? If loading an 8-bit bitmap, even if in 24-bit mode, colour 0 in the palette is used as the transparent colour, I think - I may be wrong.
