I think a Task Manager in SEAL is very useful. |

As I've mentioned before, TurboCom VIP is helpful here (using a WinModem from DOS). Do a search on the forums for it for more information. _________________ Owen Rudge

Maybe c++ is a bit slower, but it supports classes and objects. They can be very useful. Wishes:
1. Update the start menu with...
--- start menu ----
in the top, a list of programs, just like the menu of win98.
then... a line... (win98). then some maps...
Applications // for general applications
Development // for development environments
Editors // editors for html, txt etc.
Games // games like snake etc.
Graphics // image viewer... a paint program
Internet // tools to browse internet, ftp-client, email-client, usenet-client
Multimedia // prgms to listen to your music
Office // for the office
Settings // links to change password, control panel, menu editor
Utilities // utilities like SEALdos, disk imager etc.
a line... and then...
Bookmarks
Find
Help
Run...
Shut down...
---- end of start menu -----
more to come... |

Maybe someone should note that SEAL3 is not currently in development. _________________ Lukas Lipka

My only wish for SEAL3 is that I can be a bigger part of it this time around. I did very little for SEAL2, but I want to actually DO somthing in SEAL3.
I can't program in c/c++ (at the moment), but I am willing and able to learn.
If anyone has anything for me to do that dosnt involve programming, tell me.
ALSO -- I'd like to help with the user guide for SEAL 3 _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There are a few things I'd like to see in seal 3:
1. Basic OpenGL support in the graphics API (It'd make it that much easier to port Blender to SEAL)
2. A "dos box"-style program (possibly using freedos?)
3. Playlists in SFA or a similar program
4. Option to have no borders around icon text (like MacOS)
5. printer support
6. custom folder icons

Up to date documentation, bindings for other languages such as C++, Basic and maybe even Pascal, a new section in the forums where users can submit links to important stuff like tutorials (make separate threads for each category).
I'll probably think of more stuff later |
