Hi,
just wanted to test Seal under Win2k, but it did not really start
and Allegro gave me the error message that my Card was unable to
display 65535 coulours at 640x480.
Where can I set this?

email me a copy of your registry database doreg.reg or badseal.reg depending on your seal2 version
if it's doreg.reg then edit it and change
[SYSTEM/GRAPHICS]
WIDTH=640
HEIGHT=480
DEPTH=16
DOUBLE_BUFFER=1

to

[SYSTEM/GRAPHICS]
WIDTH=640
HEIGHT=480
DEPTH=8
DOUBLE_BUFFER=1

DOREG.REG isn't the active registry, it's used to generate REGISTRY.DAT. REGISTRY.DAT is the active registry.

I'm having the same problem. I'm running an old IBM valuepoint 486DX 33 mHz machine that I found in a trash can (I kid you not!). The online documentation says the 1 MB of video ram should support 640 x 480 x 16 resolution, but I get an error every time. Changing depth from 16 to 8 with regedit didn't help for that matter either. Any ideas?

Get a copy of SciTec Display doctor, and see what resolutions that says you support. It is based on the VBE VESA routines, which are the same ones Seal uses.

If Display Doctor says no, Seal will not run.
