Hello people! I want to inform you that finally, The Force has gone Open Source under the GNU General Public Licence

AFAIK, The Force is currently the FASTEST and the stablest (these not in bold, neither in capitals, since there are some problems with GCC 3.2.1 and Allegro 4.0.5 that makes The Force to generate a GPF at the exit - or just my bad code, or the extremmely pushed optimization flags :-]) 32-bit GUI available for DOS.

The Force is now hosted at SourceForge.net, at
http://theforcegui.sourceforge.net/

The site contains the source code of The Force 0.3.0, the binaries of that version, some introduction to The Force, a screenshot and lastly a CVS tutorial, written specifically for The Force.

Talking about CVS, this is the method that the developers of The Force will use in order to improve the source code. The zipped source code is available only as a fast way to get most source files (since downloading everything via CVS is a bit slower). But the one who wants to work on The Force, must use CVS in order to update and commit files. The tutorial describes the basic stuff (from installation of tools, to how to use them) and links to a wonderfull online free book (The CVS Book) that describes the CVS, how to use it and why to use it.

This is great news. I was greatly impressed by the first version that you had put out back in those old days !

Way to go, and best of luck !
