whats the progress.. wasn't it supposed to be out like a couple weeks ago?
also, i am planning a new installer.. what archiving and or compression:

BZ2 or 7z compression would be good, what kind of installer are you planning on? graphical? i'm sure someone(amos?) worked on one. _________________ http://www.theopencd.org/ - OpenSource for the Masses

Yes, bzip2 compression is very good. RAR isn't open source, it's closed source, so if you're using it in an open source app, well, you can't really. _________________ Owen Rudge

bzip2 is very CPU intensive. Uncompressing 100megs files makes my 1.4ghz machine shudder.
Basically, the API must be in such a way that any format is plugable. _________________ Ganesh lives @
